What size breaker does the 220 volt 18,000 BTU unit require?
Do i habe to connect it to 220 or 110?
Which size unit is better for a 750 sq. ft. upstairs on a 1.5 story house? Downstairs is on central air.

Upstairs will be two bedrooms on either end.
Do I need to apply for permit to install this?

I have a split 3-car garage that I want to heat and cool. One side is 20x20 and the other is 12x20, and both have 11 foot ceilings and are fully drywalled and insulated. There is a 4 x 8 foot opening/doorway connecting the two garages. The unit will have to be mounted in the smaller garage since it has the only exterior walls. Will the unit be able to effectively heat/cool the larger garage through that passageway? And if so, which MrCool DIY unit would you recommend for the size?
Is this an inverter compressor? If so, what is the minimum BTU/h of heating and cooling that it produces for the 18,000BTU model?
Does it come with the electrical cable? Does the power supply cable run from the 30 amp breaker to the outdoor unit switchbox, then to the power panel in the outdoor unit?
will the condesor unit run additional ducltess wall mounted units? Can I purchase more and attach them to just this one condensor unit? What is the max number of the ductless units I can purchase?
My Attic room is 12x30 with 7ft ceilings. Normal thickness of blown in insulation in the three interior wall and ceiling. Is an 18000 btu Mr. Cool diy system too large?
Are there plans to make a DIY system for multi zone? Seems like it should be straight forward.
Do you guys do the install as well?
How many amps does unit draw? What size wire is recommended?
Any problems with shipping this unit to California?
No electric that’s great !!! How many d battery’s does it take!!!
At what outside temperature can these units effectively heat against. 0 degrees...-10...-20 ?
Wondering about using one of these units in a basement. I have a drain that I can run the drain line into, but are their any problems with the head unit being located below the condenser ?
What color is the evaporator? Customer wants white.
I have 3bd rooms 1bath livingroom kitchen what size would I need?
I opened the unit and licked the control board, will I get lead poisoning ? I may have licked it more than once....
What is the lengths of line sets are available?
I see 20 amp 240v? Is that for each piece? Do I need to run two lines?
Does it come in bronze or brown?
Do the pre charged lines come in this package and duct work that goes Thai wall?
hello. we want a ductless unit for upstairs and downstairs. do you have a bas outside unit that 2 inside units can hook to? or do we need separate outside units for each floor?

thanks
Is the Air Handler and the Condenser on the same circuit or is each one on it's own circuit. Could I see a wiring diagram how the two are powered?
Does this unit also cool or is it just for heat?
Is this unit rated for heating at outside temps of 5 and below? In other words is it a Low Temp Heat Pump?
How does it perform in really humid conditions? Will it also remove moisture from the air or just cool and heat? If it removes moisture from the air, where is the water collected and removed?
Have you ever installed one of these on a patio? (Facing the interior, screen on the side where mounted) I know it wouldn't be perfect, but obviously they are designed to be in moisture and this would increase greatly the number of days we could be comfortable on the patio.
How far away can the out side unit be placed?
Hello there

Two questions here:

1. I have seen a MrCool DIY mini split that is an 18K 20 SEER with Hyper Heat. I don't see that here on the website so trying to ensure those are still available?

2. I have a 950 square foot A-frame cabin that I wish to install a unit in. There is a loft area but a majority of the house is a large cathedral ceiling of approximately 25 feet in height at the peak. Does that impact overall tonnage selection of the unit?

Thanks - I am shopping through Amazon

Chris
if there would be an issue with low refrigerant over time ,can i recharge it ?
Are the lines precharged?
I have a wall with a recessed alcove that is 11 inches deep 39.5 inches wide and 46 inches high..would it be possible to install in that area without affecting performance..od even partially so it doesn't stick out as much..
Can u put the outside unit on the roof?
How long are the hoses?
i see that the lines are precharged 25' lines. i understand that part and they can't be trimmed. what do you do with the extra line if you are closer than 25'. i'm going to be running from a second floor install directly down to the condensor unit. do you just coil it up and zip tie it?
I have a 10x30 room with 8 foot ceilings and 8 dog doors (so no matter how well insulated, it will be drafty) in a metal building. We're planning to put the air handler at the far side of room and need something that will heat/cool the entire length of the room. Our HVAC company quoted a 2 ton unit, which we thought was WAY oversized for the space (and WAY overpriced), but we do want something slightly oversized because of how drafty the room will be. Is this a good choice?
What is the maximum elevation change from the inside to the outside unit?
I am finishing off an 18x20 garage for my home office/studio. I am going to insulate it as best I can with r13 and r10 on the garage door. The walls are about 9’ tall, and it has an open ceiling that goes up about another 5 feet in the center. I know the 12k is correct for the square footage of the floor plan, but with it being an open ceiling, and a garage (which innately will be a little less insulated), and my desire to really keep it tempature controlled with all my musical equipment in there - should I do the 12k or the 18k? Price is not an issue. So my thought is to just get the 18, but would that be too much in reality? or just enough?
How long are the freon lines that run between the outdoor/indoor unit.
Is this air - heat?
I have small two upstairs bed rooms I would like to cool, 180 sq feet each.

Can I run two indoor units from one outdoor condenser unit like other mini splits ?
is this available with 3 separate indoor units that can be hooked to 1 outside unit.and can each indoor unit have its own thermostat? I am considering this for a 2 bedroom mobile home where I would need separate indoor units
wondering if you are getting close to having cassette units
What size wire required for power supply to 18k?
Where is the damage?
I have a 700 sq ft home with 2 small bedrooms, 1 bath, living room and kitchen. Living room and kitchen are all open but the 2 bedrooms and bath are down 1 hallway. Would the 18k be enough or should I look into the 24k?
How much watts does the 18k and the 24k units use?
Thinking of one of these in my 720 sq foot game room in insulated garage. The question is: how effective are these in cold weather. I am in New Hampshire. I want to set low 50 degrees or so in the winter that can be turned up as needed.

Will this work? Or do I need more of a cold weather, heat pump one?
what models plug into a 220v 20 amp wall outlet?
Hi.
I have a 220 outlet, does any unit you have work off a 220 line?
If not how difficult would it to change 220 to 240?
Is there sales tax added? I live in Massachusetts we have a tax free week end.
My home is 800sqf. Will the 750 work good in the house? And heats the house? About how mush the electric bill is a month with this unit?
I saw one of these in a commercial building and it kept the place really cool. The owner said the outside unit was is actually attached inside above the ceiling tile close to the roof. Is this possible to do? Does the outside unite have to be outside?
I have a home with 800 sq ft with 6 rooms consisting of living room, dinning room, 2 bedrooms, kitchen, and bathroom.
How many wall units will I need to keep my house cool?
How do we get it in payments?
Is the WiFi Smart Kit compatible with the Nest thermostat/Nest app?
If by chance it leaks down can you diy recharge? Can you buy 410 ?
is it possible to have longer run between outside and inside units ?
Are all of the MrCool DIY units hardwire only?
The circuit to my breaker box is 230/30A do I have to change that to 230/20A to install the Mr. Cool 18K DIY?
LOOKING FOR A 2 ROOM UNIT DO YOU HAVE A SOME THING LIKE THAT
Can you mount on sloped ceiling?
want to cool two rooms. do i need 2 whole units
Can I run line in attic before I go threw wall to outside
Do you have to mount the unit high on the wall or can you keep it closer to ground level?
I need it for 4 rooms
I see the line set is 1/4 inch, so I can assume that refrgarent is not 410 but something else. What is it?
I am planning on purchasing the MR Cool DIY 18K BTU system. I see you are out of stock on the line guard covers; when do you expect to get more in? Is it possible to get extensions for them?
I have an old (1967) mobile home with single pane windows, and thin walls with very little insulation. It is approximately 10 x 48 feet. Pacific Northwest area. What BTU size would you suggest for this?
I am having my exterior walls insulated with spray foam and I wish to run the lines though a portion of the wall before runnng it outside. What size pvc pipe will I need to adequately run the lines for my 18k unit?
How many square feet will it cool? I have about 900 sq ft.
What is the starting/running current for the 18k 240v unit?
What size are the flare nuts that connect the line sets ? Are they metric or English ? I'm wondering which torque wrench set I need to get.
I have a Fujitsu 24k unit 8 yrs old with a leak somewhere. Can't find the leak. It has a lineset 30' long through the attic. The room is 400 sf but up on pilings so it gets heat from the floor. But I think an 18kbtu unit will work fine if it can heat down to 30F outdoor and cool up to 95 F outdoor. Can I get an 18kbtu Mr Cool single wall mount unit with 28-30' lineset?
Hello. I would like to use a MrCool to heat/cool my sunroom. However I live in an area where the temperature can drop below 17 degrees often during a cold winter. I have an unfinished basement under my house with a freezer, gas furnace, and water heater in it already. Odd question maybe, but could I install the outside unit in my basement to take advantage of a warmer temperature so MrCool could heat my sunroom all winter? Thank you for your response!
Do you offer longer line sets?
What are the dimensions of inside unit?
Do you make a 2 room 18k unit?
I looked in the owners manual and I see no instructions for cleaning the coils on the outdoor unit are there filters to be cleaned or do you use a hose to clean the coils?
