The American Gas Association has certified this Trane RunTru gas furnace for use with both natural and liquefied petroleum (LP) gas. This unit delivers with a 40,000 BTU capacity, 3 ton nominal air flow, and 96% annual fuel utilization efficiency (AFUE) that meets utility rebates and can lower your utility bills.
This gas furnace's multiport inshot burners operate both efficiently and quietly. The default setup for these burners is natural gas, but this model can be converted for use with LP gas with a separately purchased conversion kit.
The primary heat exchanger in this 40K BTU 96% AFUE Variable Speed 2 Stage Trane RunTru Gas Furnace - Upflow/Horizontal - 17.5inch Cabinet is made of corrosion resistant, cycle-tested, heavy gauge tubular stainless steel, and the secondary heat exchanger is made of specialty 29-4C™stainless steel that is able to reclaim heat from flue gases that would be lost in a typical system.
