What all comes with the package unit ? Does the ground loops , Manifold, and water handling come in the package unit or not? I am looking for a unit to put in a 800 Sq. house with 2 occupants.
I plan to order a geocool . does this unit GCHPV024TGTANXX come with a supplement backup. also what size is the opening on top for the supply line. also the size of the opening on the left for the return. also I have a white-rodgers programable thermostat and checking to see if it is compatible. also the height from floor for the water inlet and outlet. also the size of the female part on unit for inlet and outlet. This info will help me prepare for unit when it arrives. thanks Gil . I am replacing a geothermal Commandaire by trane. I realize they were bought out.
I am in the process of eventually replacing my command aire by trane geothermal. I have high rust in my h2o and annually flush it out with a chemical. does this geocool HA18832 need annual flushing as well? I have heard of present models that are able to self clean themselves . Note: I have a pump to dump system
Need to replace a 2 ton water to air Geothermal heat pump package unit that is 3 years old. 2 one hundred foot drilled wells supply the existing heat source for heat and cool. The existing system is a Florida 2 ton unit with a desuperheater for preheating hot water. It also has auxiliary Electric heating coils for backup heat. This unit still works properly but it is aging . I am a retired refrigeration HVAC service person. I installed this unit myself. Looking to purchase a replacement unit of good quality. The loop system is a open loop with a reservoir and pump package.IS THERE A AVAILABLE UNIT THAT CAN BE PURCHASED? Will supply phone # if needed.
The installation manual has this: ( with no additional explanation )

6.1 Closed Loop Systems Plumbing IMPORTANT! Do NOT use PVC or CPVC piping on any connections to your Geocool unit. The only exception where PVC or CPVC piping may be used is on the condensate lines.

What is this about? Is this a general condemnation of PVC anywhere in the loop or is it a vibration issue at the unit's connection?
The desuperheater is for helping to heat your hot water heater correct? And what does the last option mean, heat exchanger material?
Is there an option for emergency 5 KW heat?
What is the pressure drop across this unit? I see 8 GPM, but did not see the pressure loss.

Interested in this unit and working on pump sizing.

Thank you.
I have a well do not use can it be used for the unit? save me some$$
