New Universal Models

Arranged in no particular order, here are the new Universal units coming out this summer, 2021.

Universal Cooling-Only Condenser

Have you wanted a variable-speed DC inverter condenser, but have plenty of cold-weather heating capability in your existing system? Then the Universal Cooling-Only Condenser is the replacement condenser that you've been waiting for.

Designed with versatility and efficiency in mind, the Universal Cooling-Only Condenser features side-discharge and a compact footprint that makes it ideal for space-minimum installations. As with the conventional Universal heat pump, this cooling-only model can accommodate soldering, flared-screw connections, or the MRCOOL No-Vac Quick-Connect Line Set. The latter is ideal for do-it-yourselfers who want to save some cash on installation.

The Universal Cooling-Only Condenser is a 20 SEER unit.  It has low ambient cooling down to 39 degrees, field convertibility, quiet operation as low as 55 decibels, Gold Fin condenser corrosion resistance, and a 10-year limited warranty when properly registered. It is AHRI certified and ETL listed.

Universal High ESP Air Handler

Got a high static pressure application that you would love to leverage Universal's versatility, high efficiency, and superior electric heating? The Universal High ESP Air Handler now makes that possible.

Equipped with a powerful and efficient DC fan motor, the Universal High ESP Air Handler is capable of reaching a maximum static pressure of 250Pa. It's also an incredibly flexible piece of equipment as it can be installed in horizontal right, horizontal left, or vertical installation positions. It also features a durable metal filter that is corrosion resistant and easy to clean, eco-safe R-410A, a low-noise internal fan blade, fire-proof electrical box design, 2 step condensation protection, and a 10-year limited warranty with registration. This high ESP air handler received both an AHRI certification and an ETL listing.

Universal A-Coil

Want to pair a Universal condenser, cooling-only or otherwise, with a superior gas furnace from our Signature Series line of products? Now you can with the Universal A-Coil! This coil is a quality product that would also serve as an effective replacement for an outdated, inferior coil in a non-Universal central split system.

What makes the Universal A-Coil a superior choice? This coil delivers quieter operation and quicker installation than many leading brand models. It can handle high SEER applications, and features multiple protective safeguards to ensure long term performance along with standard 24V controls. Plus, it has a special liquid pipe design that will reduce excessive condensation.

So, wanting to use the Mr.Cool Universal in a downflow configuration. Is that possible. Is it possible to use a currently installed downflow air handler.

The Universal condenser is non-communicating, so it could be used with an existing compatible downflow air handler.

I’m not being critical, as I’ve purchased 2 mr cool products in the last 6 months, but isn’t mr cool a rebranded product? Perhaps a Midea? Just curious who manufactures these great products. Especially like the DIY products.
