Winter is cold. Obviously, right? Should something go wrong with your geothermal heat pump at the worst possible time (i.e. - when it is cold), it's nice to have a secondary option. For that, we recommend backup heat strips. A good heat strip can provide emergency or supplemental heating whenever you need it. They're relatively inexpensive, and can be configured to meet a variety of different installation requirements.
