A geothermal heat pump may be more efficient than most conventional HVAC equipment, but it too requires properly filtered air. Regularly replacing the air filter to maintain a clean system is absolutely essential. Stock up on properly sized air filters, check them regularly, and replace as necessary. We recommend changing the filter every three months at minimum. However, check it monthly and if it's dirty, replace it.
