This 10 kW Electric Heat Kit for Trane RunTru Package Units provides additional heating for your home, has a 10 kW heating capacity, and can heat from 2-5 tons. This accessory appliance is a single phase heater, which is the type of power supply used in most residential homes.
The rated voltage for this electric heat kit is 208/240. Make sure you are positive the voltage rating for your system matches before installing this kit to ensure your safety and proper heating operation.
When installed as for a 208 voltage rating, this heater pulls 35 amps, and for a 240 volt system used in most homes this supplemental heating device pulls 40 amps. The load center for this accessory is lug only. This electric heat kit does not have its own circuit breaker.
