The tubing needs to be cut to fit, correct? If I have two heat pumps, each needing less than 25 feet, I can purchase one 50 foot line set and cut to fit, correct?
I’m looking at the Goodman 3 ton 14 SEER split system heat pump with the multi position air handler with 10kw strip.
I’m replacing an 18yo split heat pump (R22) that is still in good operating condition, except its developed a leak, and I’m inclined to replace the whole system rather than repair this one. My question relates to the line set. The one I have is a 7/8x3/8 with an external biflow LL filter drier, and is approx. 70’ long, but runs completely horizontal. No vertical lift at all. The compressor is the original one ( no failure or burnout). Is the size of the line set adequate for a 70’ run with a 3 ton unit with 410 refrigerant? And, would there be an issue with residual oil in the lineset being incompatible with the 410? Thanks JB
You don’t show length of the line set ???
How long is this line set
