The 4th Generation MrCool DIY Multi-Zone 45k BTU 20.5 SEER 5 Zone Ductless Mini Split features a 20.5 SEER and includes a powerful 48k BTU heat pump condenser along with five 9k BTU wall-mounted air handlers. The efficiency of this system is attributed to the variable speed DC inverter. Each of the five 9k BTU air handlers can manage the room temperature in areas up to 375 square feet.
Designed to be installed by the average homeowner, the 4th Generation MrCool DIY Multi-Zone 45k BTU 20.5 SEER 5 Zone Ductless Mini Split requires no special tools, training, or professional assistance for installation. The included Quick Connect line set allows for this easy installation because it comes precharged with eco-friendly refrigerant R-410A. Also included is the DIYPRO cable that also aids in installation ease by providing mechanical protection against weather, animals, and yard tools without needing electrical conduit.
Controlling this system is as easy as the installation. It can be controlled with the convenient included remote, the SmartHVAC app on your Apple or Android device, or go completely hands-free with your Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.
The 4th Generation MrCool DIY Ductless Mini Split has many operational modes to customize your experience and create your most preferred environment. The easy to use Auto mode allows you to set your desired temperature and let the system automatically maintain it without any other effort on your part. The Sleep mode and Timer function help save excess energy. During Sleep mode, the system will run for 8 hours. During the first two hours, the temperature will increase or decrease 2 degrees F depending whether you're heating or cooling. It will then maintain that new temperature for the remaining 6 hours so you save energy while you sleep. You can use the timer function to set the system to run for a certain period of time before shutting off so you aren't using the system and extra energy when it isn't necessary.
If any issue arises, the LED display will show a troubleshooting code for you to reference in the user manual and likely address the problem yourself before calling a professional technician. Maintenance is also easy. Just wipe down both the indoor and outdoor equipment with a dry or damp cloth and rinse the air handler filters with water.
