The White-Rodgers claim to fame was the invention of a new type of control for refrigeration. Further development of such 20th century innovations would have to wait, since the demands of WWII saw White-Rodgers developing and manufacturing sophisticated aircraft controls. Today, White-Rodgers, a division of Emerson Energy, is still a leading name in heating and air conditioning controls and thermostats.
