Founded in its namesake town of York, Pennsylvania in 1874, York is one of America’s oldest and most respected heating & air conditioning companies. They developed an “air washing” machine in 1914, and by 1924 had installed what we would recognize as a , relatively, modern air conditioner in an office building in Fresno, California. Today, they remain a brand leader in heating & air conditioning equipment as part of Johnson Controls.
