Can You Connect a MrCool DIY Line Set to a Sanyo Mini Split? - Ask the Expert Episode 212

Can you connect two pre-charged line sets together? My current installed mini-split is a 9K BTU Sanyo. If I buy a 12K BTU MrCool DIY line set, will the lines connect together? No. The MrCool DIY's pre-charged line sets can only connect to other pre-charged lines, and that's only with the coupler kit, and that's coming out this month. The coupler kit will be out and that will let you put two pre-charged line sets together but it would only work for MrCool DIY units. It wouldn't work for other Sanyo units or Mitsubishi or anything else. That said, if you have a Sanyo unit and you need more line, you could call a tech and have him do that for you.
