Can a Goodman Gas Furnace be Used Outdoors? - Ask the Expert Episode 144

Asking if a Goodman gas furnace can be used outdoors is kind of an odd question, and because of that sometimes we get questions that even the experts don't know how to answer.

Video Script:

Today's question comes from Ira. "Hey Dan, can a Goodman gas furnace be used outdoors?"

No. You can't put a Goodman gas furnace outside. I guess you could have one outside and it was connected to ductwork and that fed the heat into your house. But then it would rain and it would rust, so that would be bad. Another option might be to put it in a garage if it was connected to ductwork. You don't want it to be exposed to the elements.

If you need something that you have to have outside the house for heating, then you should get an outside wood stove. They are designed to be outside.
