"Hey Dan, I'm installing a 4th gen MRCOOL DIY in my basement. I can not rely on gravity for the condensation. So I need a condensate pump. The star tube and stop siphon device is not long enough to reach the exterior whole where the other line set exits my house. Can it be extended by connecting it to the condensate line provided by MRCOOL? The parts do not fit well together. is there another way?"
I wouldn't recommend connecting two condensate lines together, because they wont fit well together like you said.
Just go online or go to an HVAC supply house and find a condensate tube that is the length you need. Don't try to connect lines together. One line is all you need.
