Can Mobile Homes Use Electric Furnaces? - Ask the Expert Episode 290

Today's question comes from Mary. "Hey Dan, Do you carry electric mobile home furnaces?" Yes we have electric mobile home furnaces like Revolv furnaces. Those are popular and designed for mobile and manufactured homes. Should you use electric furnaces for your mobile home? Well it depends on where you live. If where you live doesn't have harsh winters then electric is fine. But if you live somewhere with harsh winters like up north then you should get a gas furnace of some kind, or propane to save money.

I had a propane heater in my double wide home , built in 1989. I cost way too much to heat with that in central NC. So I installed 2 of the Mr Cool units , size 24,000 each, in my home . I am warm and still have money at the end of the month. Cut my heatiing and cooling bill by 2/3 .

Depending on a number of factors, we might recommend either a 56k BTU furnace or a 60k BTU furnace.
