The MrCool Smart Controller is the easiest and most convenient way to control your MrCool mini split. You can either use the Smart Controller App (SmartHVAC) on your smart phone, or integrate the app with your Amazon Echo using the Amazon Alexa app. This is how to connect your MrCool mini split to Amazon Alexa. First, make sure you have the Amazon Alexa app installed on your smart phone. When you open the app, go to the home screen and tap the button at the top left corner. Select "skills and games." Then hit the search button. Type in SmartHVAC, then select the skill. Then select enable to use. You will then type the username and password you have already set up in the SmartHVAC app. Once you hit sign in, the accounts are linked. Hit "done," then tap "discover devices." Alexa will take a few seconds to find the Smart Controller device. Tap "choose device." Select the device you would like to sync. Then tap "set up device."
