An E3 error code occurs when the fan speed of your MRCOOL DIY Ductless Mini Split air handler is too low for a certain amount of time.
This could be due to a wiring mistake, faulty fan assembly, faulty fan motor, or a faulty control board. Before touching or maneuvering the wires, be sure to turn off the power from the disconnect box for the outdoor unit, or from the breaker box for the indoor unit.
Troubleshooting An E3 Error Code
First, you should check the wiring of the fan motor to make sure everything is connected properly and not loose. It is possible that the fan motor or the control board will have to be replaced.
In any case, when you have an E3 error code, it is best to call the MRCOOl Warranty department at 270-366-0457 so they can help you determine the reason for the E3 error code.
