Today's question comes from Anthony. "Hey Dan, can you put the MrCool mini split in freeze protection mode from the app?" Yes. You can certainly do that. Say you've got a MrCool mini split out in the woods and you only use it in the summer and you're not going to be there all winter, but you want to keep it above a certain temperature so your pipes don't freeze, then you put it in freeze protection. This will keep the temperature low, but above freezing. That way you can save money on your heating. And the app lets you do that from anywhere in the world.

How do I set FP mode on my mr cool mini split by using the app?

I do not see an "arrow at the bottom of the page" in the Android app I downoaded today (12/6/2022). I see five tabs or options: Control, Schedule, eSaver, History, and Timeline. The video was funny, but I still can't see how to enable FP (Freeze Protection) mode from the Android app.

I can use freeze protection with comfy mode, it seems. Should I use one or the other or do they work together?

In FP mode you said it will keep the temp “low” but above freezing…what temp does it try to keep the house at?

Hi- when I look at the comfy part of the app, it looks like you can set it to come on at e.g. 40F, but then it says what you want to happen after, and it looks like you have to set it to 62F which would appear to be being the space temp all the way back up. (Not MAINTAIN 40F). I just want to prevent freezing and maintain a very low temp. Is there a way to do this? Thank you!
