"Do you think that pre-charged line set connection is superior to the standard line set flares? Can they leak at the indoor and outdoor unit if not properly installed?"
Yup! Well, maybe.
Depending on who is installing them. If you're a pro HVAC guy, then you won't need a DIY line set. Just use standard flared lines.
If you are a homeowner, doing it yourself, then get a DIY line.
