LP Furnace in a Mobile Home? - Ask the Expert Episode 261

Today’s question comes from John.

“Hey Dan, what brand of LP furnace is best for a 25-year-old manufactured home on a basement?”

There is a little bit to unpack here. So, with LP, you probably mean liquid propane, and you’re in a manufactured home. If you’re still using the factory-installed air ducts on a manufactured home, the air handler for the furnace will be high static.

If you’re looking for something specifically for a manufactured home, we have Revolv and they make units dedicated for that. That would be our recommendation.

If you have conventional ductwork, then the world is your oyster. You can get whatever system you want. You could get the MrCool Signature Series, a Goodman, Trane. You can get whatever you want.

I have a manufactured home and am having a problem with the voltage coming in it is suppose to be 120 volt 30 amp when i measure the voltage it is usually around 94/97 volts, is there any type of transformer that i can install to bring the voltage up to 120volt.the utility company says that since i am the last trailer on those feeders its a voltage drop, and the only way they could correct it would be to run a new feeder to my unit, however i would have to bear the cost. thanks for your help
