Is there a MrCool DIY Hyper Heat on the Market? - Ask the Expert Episode 195

Today's question is from Diana. "Hey Dan, is there a DIY Hyper Heat from MrCool?" So, we get a lot of people that think that all the MrCool units are do-it-yourself units. However, they are not. MrCool has the DIY ductless mini split, and that's the only one that's supposed to be installed yourself. The others are all normal mini splits that you need to get a professional to help you with to do the charging and the vacuuming. There is no such thing as a MrCool DIY Hyper Heat. If you get a MrCool Hyper Heat, that really needs to be professionally installed. Some people do install those themselves, but that pretty much voids the warranty. Have more questions? Just ask them in the comments below or on Facebook or on Twitter.

You are FOS. Anyone who can install a mini split can install the central hyper-heat. They have a sealed lineset and the indoor unit is also sealed and prepared so you don't even have to pull a vacuum on it. If you are replacing a gas furnace, you only have to connect to the existing supply and return ducts. It's not rocket science.
