In this episode Dan Danowski give us an idea of Just how easy is it to install a package unit. Video Script: The question comes from Jimmy. "Hey Dan, is a package unit that easy to install? Just the electric and the lines? And will the system need to be charged with Freon?" Package units are pretty easy to install because everything is usually contained in one cabinet. There are usually no refrigerant lines too hook up at all. If it's a gas package unit, you may have to hook up a gas line. But other than that it would just be hooked up to the ductwork and electrical. You won't even have to charge it with Freon or refrigerant because most package units these days should come with R4-10A, which is better than Freon. Have more questions?
