What's the Warranty on the Mortex Mobile Home Evaporator Coil? - Ask the Expert Episode 266

Morten coils suck. 3rd set in 4 years and warranty doesn’t start over every time you install a set. What do you do about that?

I agree with Ed Mortex coils are junk I been an contractor for 31 years last 2 years I changed 9 Mortex coils leaking. I called them 2 weeks Never got a returned call. I bought them from Johnstone in Fairfield there manger Cory is a jerk he said they raised there price an will only credit me for old price I bought them for so I have to pay $152; extra this is BS. I have at lease 200 plus a coils out there they fail about every 3 years. I put one in a month later went flat Mortex would not pay labor an Johnstone is same it’s called greed. But Mortex coils are junk

Steve Ambrosini here again I had a call from a costumer today at 10 am ac not old ran test Mortex A coil blown out leaking this is number 10 I replaced. Its going to be a mess come summer I have 200 plus out there that I put in 3 an 4 years ago people will be upset. When there last ac lasted 20 years an the new one break down in 3 years Mortex coils are no good an they won’t return your calls

Here we go again I have 2 acs in mobile homes one 1 year old the other 21/2 years old. BOTH Mortex ACoils leaking. An now company I bought them from jacked there prices up So I only get them for what I paid when I bought them I get stuck with extra cost. An what’s BS Mortex NO labor,!!!! Don’t matter if week old they won’t pay labor. It must be Because they know there acoils are JUNK an they WONT return a phone call. I forgot I put dye in 5 acs that are under 4 years old because in last word weeks Mortex coils leaking I am sure. Every summer this happens.
