Is There A Wrong Way To Place My Condenser? - Ask The Expert Episode 285

Today's question is from Thomas.

"Hey Dan. When it comes to positioning the condenser unit, I have seen a lot installed parallel to the structure. My thought is that this would restrict air flow and efficiency. What do you think?"

It could be if you get it too close to the house.

But as long as you install the condenser in line with the clearance requirements in the manual, it'll be fine.

    I have a question Dan.
Why do we have static cling of dust and dirt on the I side air conditioner? Constantly holds dust and look bad.
And no Dan we don't smoke. Smoke only meat here in Texas.

As the indoor unit operates, it filters air. You may want to clean your filters more often.

Be careful of possible overflowing gutters overhead
