There are many different forms of auxiliary heat like heat strips or a propane furnace. But can you change from one to the other?

So, today we have a question from Roger Hayden. "Hey Dan, I'm Roger Hayden, the famous motorcycle racer, recently retired. I installed a five ton 16 SEER two stage variable speed Goodman central heat pump split system. Is it possible to change the auxiliary heat from heat strips to propane? Or can I add a propane furnace to the system?"
The auxiliary heat strips are electric, so you can't really change those to propane on a split system without a furnace on there. You could add a propane furnace, that would be your best bet to get propane in there. You could just call us and let us know what you need. Or you could always get more auxiliary heat strips or maybe bigger ones.
