Most mini split heat pumps are as complicated as conventional systems or as a unitary system, they just don't have ductwork. That makes them a little more flexible about where they can go, but they still have to have evacuation, charging, proper placement, sizing, and electrical. So, most people don't know how to do all that. So, most mini split, you need a professional. If you don't want to pay a guy, get a MRCOOL DIY. We sell those. They don't have to be vacuumed or charged. It's all pre-charged and sealed. Those are easy to put in.
